The 2026 scholarship winners announcement

Before the summer break, ILCA announced the offering of a new scholarship opportunity to support university teachers who wanted to attend our courses and improve the incorporation of Life Cycle Assessment into their curriculum. This initiative was aimed at helping passionate educators gain valuable knowledge in Life Cycle Assessment, even if they or their institutions didn’t have the financial means to join our regular courses.

The winners of the 2026 ILCA scholarship for educators

We received 21 applications, out of which 16 fulfilled the eligibility criteria, but these three stood out above the rest:

2026 Scholarship Recipients:

• Assistant Professor Brook Tesfamichael Teferra (Addis Ababa University, Ethiopia)
• Dr. Jamilu Salisu (Modibbo Adama University, Nigeria)
• Dr. Zainab T. Yaqub (University of Ilorin, Nigeria)

Congratulations to all three recipients.

To make our decision we looked at each candidate’s teaching experience, commitment to incorporating LCA methodology in course curriculum, and demonstrated ability to benefit their students with enhanced LCA knowledge.
