Calling all university LCA teachers! Join a mentored Academy network for teachers in your time‑zone
August 14, 2026 by ILCA
The International Life Cycle Academy offers mentored self-organized teacher networks in four different time zones: From Pakistan to SE-Asia, Far East Asia and Oceania, The Americas, and Europe/Africa. We welcome all tenured university personnel to participate in sharing of knowledge, teaching experiences, and educational material within Life Cycle Assessment and related holistic, quantitative sustainability impact assessment methods.
The International Life Cycle Academy offers supervision/mentoring of each teacher network by Academy members or invited experts up to a limit of 25 hours annually. Meetings will take place online at least four times a year and will be planned by each group individually according to the interests of the participants. Participation is free of charge.
To participate you must send from your university e-mail an application to info@ilca.es with the topic “Academy network for teachers”. The body of the e-mail should contain the following:
- Your commitment to participate actively in the teacher network and openly share experiences and teaching materials;
- Your stated willingness and ability to reserve time for attending a minimum of four meetings;
- Your CV, indicating at least your name, education, university position, and experience with LCA educational activities or planning;
- A statement [Yes/No] to be willing to be responsible for organizing meetings, meeting agendas, and providing meeting notes. This is not a requirement for participation, but the establishment and maintenance of the self-organized network depends on at least one person to be willing to take on these tasks. There is no financial compensation for this task.
The call is open until further notice. You will receive an invitation to an introductory meeting as soon as enough teachers within your time zone have expressed interest.
